    Who is Jesus?

Christianity is not a religious practice that one follows. Nor is it a merely a spiritual principle that gives meaning to life. And its not even a performance where good people live moral lives. No, Christianity is more than a practice, a principle or a performance. Christianity is all about a person and His name is Jesus Christ.

But who is Jesus Christ? Let's allow Him to speak for Himself...

He is God: "I and the Father are one" (John 10:30). C.S. Lewis put it this way, "You can shut Him up for a fool, you can spit at Him and kill Him as a demon; or you can fall at His feet and call Him Lord and God. But let us not come up with any patronizing nonsense about His being a great human teacher. He has not left that open to us. He did not intend to" (Mere Christianity, pp. 40-41).

He is Savior: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). The Bible makes it clear that "There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

He is the Only Way to God: Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me" (John 14:6). He didn't claim to be the founder of some great religious practice or the teacher of some great spiritual principle. He claimed to be the only way to God.

He is able to change YOUR life!: The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" (Romans 10:9). You see, Jesus came to "seek and to save that which is lost" (Luke 19:10). That means YOU. But it all begins with who you say Jesus is? That is the question that every human being must answer. You see, only Jesus can save you from the power and penalty of sin. Only Jesus can transform your heart, restore you to a personal relationship with the God Who created you, and only Jesus can give your life eternal purpose. Will you right now turn from your sin and turn to Him by repentance and faith? If you ask Him, He will save you.
