In 2022, First Daytona entered a multi-year partnership with First Baptist Church, Anchorage, AK. FBC Anchorage is currently in a phase of revitalization and is in a position to impact the city of Anchorage, the largest populated city in Alaska. The inaugural Alaska team returned August 6, 2022 from a visioning trip to assess the future opportunities in Anchorage and the surrounding community.
The work to be done in Anchorage is multi-faceted ranging from construction projects to street evangelism and children’s programming. We are prayerfully considering the timing and date for the next trip. Once calendared, dates and details will be published on the website at firstbaptist.org.
First Daytona engages the Dominican Republic with the New Missions organization.
The vision of New Missions is to raise a generation of Christian leaders who impact their communities and become role models for the next generation.
For over 30 years, New Missions has endeavored to establish local churches and Christian schools in Haiti and the Dominican Republic—providing children with education, food, and medical care so they can grow strong and make an impact in their community.
Threefold Approach of New Missions
1 – Establish a church in a community.
2 – Alongside the church, we build a school.
3 – Develop the community members to become role models of change.
First Daytona partners with Resource Development International – Cambodia (RDI). RDI has been working actively on water, sanitation, education, and community development projects since 2000 to help reduce poverty and improve livelihoods in rural Cambodia. Programs and projects are divided into four departments: community development, laboratory and research, ceramic water filters, and media studio. Teams from First Daytona work primarily on the construction of collection tanks and simple latrines.

Each day, 157,690 people are dying without Christ.
IMB friends live among these people, many who have never heard the gospel. At the International Mission Board (IMB), we believe that missionary presence cultivates gospel access, gospel belief, church planting and multiplication. See what lostness looks like in areas around the world and celebrate the work that God has done through IMB missionaries this last year.
What You Should Know About Southeast Asia
From the heights of the mighty Himalayas to the crystal-clear water of the Maldives, Southeast Asia is both awe-inspiring and heart-wrenching. It has the largest concentration of non-Christians on the planet. Southeast Asia is home to more than 500 million Muslims and is the birthplace of Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism.
How We Can Pray
Pray that friends serving here model Christ, even in dangerous situations.
In 2023 we are committed to pray for every village in Ghana and Togo along with our mission partners at The Timothy Initiative (TTI). The work in the part of Africe is part of Project Africa. The project’s goal is to plant 4000 churches throughout these countries in West Africa. Our partners at TTI seek to fulfill this goal by making disciples that make disciples and planting churches that plant churches. The TTI method encompasses three phases (Initiate, Establish, and Expand) and is undergirded by prayer. Will you join us in praying for the gospel opportunities represented by the village names on the reverse side of this page?
1-Pray for Current Church Planters
During Phase One, a seasoned local church planter leads groups of believers to learn and embrace a lifestyle of making disciples who make disciples.
2-Pray for New Churches
During Phase Two, disciple makers journey through a ten-volume training regimen learning to share their faith, plant churches, and raise up other believers to make disciples and plant churches.
3-Pray for New Church Planters
During Phase Three, church planting trainers walk along side disciple makers as they grow in their leadership, maturity, and move their churches towards stability. The trainer identifies disciple makers who will become church planting trainers themselves.
4-Prayerfully Consider Joining a Trip
Pray, as we plan future trips to come alongside established partners in unique ways to support and continue the work they are doing in their city and surrounding areas.
